Let the tears flow…

Oh.

What.

A.

Day.

Our families first FULL day of school and after school activities.

Immediately after school activities. As in from the bus back to school…

We are wiped out.

Beyond tired.

Stressed.

We need some rest.

We need a new plan.

Tonite we learned that we have to adjust some things. Because tonite was go, go, go.

When we got home, at bedtime for the youngest, it was homework time. For all. The oldest, the youngest, the momma and even the Daddy got ‘home’ work. He did the dishes while we three did our papers.

It was too much for me her. 13-6=? was too much, too late. She broke down. I don’t blame her, it was late. We were all tired. We were trying to figure out the best way to squeeze it all in. We did not choose the right option. Not this day.

Tonite we just let the tears flow. And we know that it’s ok to cry.

We stopped the homework for her. It’s not due until Friday and even though each night this week looks a lot like tonite, we stopped. Brushed teeth and tucked her into bed with love, hugs and love.

Tomorrow we will have a new plan. Tomorrow we will have taken from today a better way and things will go differently.

Welcome Sweet Family to kids in separate schools, new activities, more homework and holding on to bed times.

Its going to be a bumpy ride, so fasten your seat belts. It will be over in 9 or so years.

Let hope we get the hang of things quickly!

About Sheila's Thinkerings

Happily married wife, happily mommied mom. I am far from perfect but I don't mind. Also I am a wee bit crazy, it's true. Just ask anyone who's ever met me...
